Family members are heartbroken after a deadly wreck in South Fulton early Friday morning.

Three people died in the crash that happened shortly after 1:30 a.m. on the 7200 block of Old National Highway in South Fulton.

Police say the crash involved a car and a three-wheeled Slingshot motorcycle.

City leaders told FOX 5 it’s a dangerous stretch of road. They’re now beefing up patrols in the area to go after people caught driving recklessly.

“We will set up traffic details. We will actively go after these individuals who are not obeying traffic laws on Old National Highway,” Capt. Derrick Rogers said.

He told FOX 5 the increased patrols would start immediately.

The South Fulton Police Department later confirmed that 3 people were killed in the crash.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
