A man, teenage girl and a newborn baby died in the Tuesday night crash that injured two juveniles on Interstate 20 east.
DECATUR, GA — Three people who died Tuesday night in an Interstate 20 east crash involving a tractor-trailer have been identified.
Two juveniles were injured in the crash, DeKalb County Police said.
Police initially said the crash happened on the Interstate 285 exit ramp onto Interstate 20 east, but later said the crash happened on I-20 east as a Ford F-150 was exiting onto Wesley Chapel Road.
While the Ford was exiting, it crashed with a tractor-trailer that had broken down in the left lane, police said.
The driver of the Ford was identified as Taraja Ramsess, 41. Police said he died at the scene along with 13-year-old Sundari Ramsess and 1-month-old Fugibo Ramsess.
Police previously said the two people who were injured were juveniles. The condition of the tractor-trailer driver is unknown.
DeKalb Police’s Traffic Specialist Unit is investigating the crash.
