Five people were injured in a crash on Sunday evening near Cobb Parkway and Progressive Way, according to Cobb County Police Department.

CCPD says a black 2012 Nissan driven by 22-year-old Joshual Scott of Dallas was headed north on Cobb Parkway when a 2022 Hyundai Elantra, driven by 36-year-old Benjamin Tillery of Stone Mountain turned left at the intersection and entered the path of the Nissan.

After the collision, the Nissan continued north and struck a traffic signal pole. The Hyundai spun counterclockwise and came to an uncontrolled rest in the right lane.

Tillery was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

19-year-old Rameen Talha from Kennesaw, who was in the car with Scott, and a 10-year-old juvenile in the car with Tillery were transported to Wellstar Kennestone with critical injuries.

38-year-old Bernice Rolax from Marietta, who was in the car with Tillery, and Scott were transported to Wellstar Kennestone with unspecified injuries.
