COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A man has been arrested after a passenger in his truck was ejected during a rollover crash on I-75 Monday morning.

The Georgia State Patrol said the crash happened around 11:43 a.m. on I-75 near Windy Hill Road in Cobb County.

Troopers said a silver Ford Explorer was traveling south when the vehicle veered off the shoulder. The driver overcorrected and the vehicle overturned.

A female passenger in the SUV was ejected onto the roadway. She was seriously injured and rushed to the hospital.

The driver, 36-year-old Ronnie Warren, ran from the crash, but was quickly found at a Cobb Linc bus station off of Cumberland Boulevard.

Georgia Department of Transportation cameras showed a pickup truck facing the opposite direction on the highway and a group of people appearing to try to help a person on the roadway.

Warren was charged with DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, serious injury by vehicle and failure to maintain his lane.

The injured woman’s identity and condition have not been released.
