Teenager in critical condition after being hit by car while on scooter, Marietta fire says

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A teenager is in critical condition after being hit by a car while on a scooter, according to Marietta fire officials.

The incident happened at Cobb Parkway and Windy Hill Road SE Tuesday.

Police said the teen was traveling “southbound on Cobb Parkway in the northbound lanes of travel and turned in front of southbound traffic within the intersection of Windy Hill Road.”

A Ford Ranger then hit the teenager.

Fire officials said the 18-year-old was taken to the hospital with a head injury. They are currently in critical condition.
